According to Sports Hochi, Urawa Red Diamonds recently announced their financial report for the 2025 fiscal year at a shareholders’ meeting. The club recorded operating revenue of 11.31 billion yen, an increase of approximately 1.1 billion yen year-on-year, setting a new all-time record.

In the 2025 season, the total salary expenditure for players and coaching staff reached 4.384 billion yen, the highest in the past five years. However, Urawa Red Diamonds are currently on a seven-match winless run and sit only 7th in the standings, reflecting a disappointing performance. Head coach Maciej Skorża is expected to leave at the end of the season.

Club president Taguchi admitted, “In 30 years, we have won the league title only once. Despite maintaining a top-level transfer budget, our results have not matched the investment.”
